Why and How to Volunteer?

Volunteering at a Missions of Mercy clinic allows each of us to renew a sense of commitment and service to our communities, to our state, and to ourselves. It is a true exercise in altruism as we unite to help our neighbors in need with no expectation of receiving anything in return. It is very possible in volunteering with Missions of Mercy that the expression of two mere words-"thank you"- uttered from a hurting mouth or in a trickle of grateful tears-may take on new meaning all their own. Your generous service at an NCMOM event also underscores to our state's citizens and political leaders the critical problem of access to care and undeniably affirms the NC Dental Society as the leading voice of dentistry in the state.

Community and Professional Volunteers are being kindly called upon to create a life-changing experience for hundreds of our economically disadvantaged neighbors. To volunteer, CLICK HERE then choose "Volunteer - Dental Professionals"  to register on-line or download a volunteer form to fax or mail.

Big announcement!

We would like to introduce you to a new service we are providing in our office!

ClearCorrect is the clear and simple alternative to braces.

It’s a series of clear, custom-made, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth as you wear them, each aligner moving your teeth just a little bit at a time.

They're practically invisible, so most people won't even know you're in treatment, they fit you perfectly, so they're more comfortable than regular braces, and they're removable, so you can eat whatever you like and clean your teeth normally.

Please ask us for more information about ClearCorrect and what it can do for you!

New London Clinic

The doors opened... and the doors closed.... quickly!  By 7am the doors to the MOM clinic in New London, NC had closed for receiving patients.  Dr. Taylor attended both days of this very successful MOM clinic.  He estimated about 550 patients treated.  To help relieve an over booked oral surgeon, Dr. Taylor ran three dental chairs at one time Saturday afternoon.  Earlier that morning, he spent time overseeing dental students.

It was a busy clinic with lots of success.  Perhaps the highlight if this particular clinic was the music!  Our very own, Isabel Taylor (married to Dr. Taylor), delighted the many patients and volunteers by singing during the clinic time!   What a special treat for all!

Next stop.... Reidsville, NC clinic.

New Bern Dental Clinic

This weekend Dr. Taylor volunteered time at another Missions of Mercy Dental Clinic in New Bern, NC.  The clinic helped over 500  people that may not have been able to obtain care otherwise.
